Check the Status of Voting Rights in the 2024 Pilkada via cekdptonline.kpu.go.id

Member of the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU), Betty Epsilon Idroos, said that voters can check their registered status as voters in the 2024 Pilkada via the cekdptonline.kpu.go.id page. If the voter is not registered, they can report it via this page. Voters will be asked to attach a photo of their electronic identity card (KTP) to be registered as voters.

“Well, later we will check the NIK (resident identification number).”” Is it true that the NIK is valid to be registered in that area?” said Betty at the discussion “Ensuring Information Openness and Handling Disinformation in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections” in Jakarta (29/5).

The matching and research (coklit) process for the Pilkada voter list will be carried out for one month, namely June to July 2024. Voters can prepare four types of population documents, namely electronic identity cards (KTP), family cards (KK), digital population identity (IKD), or population biodata, to be shown to the voter data updating committee (pantarlih).

“When it is complete, the basis is de jure electronic KTP or other documents. “It can be KK, IKD, or population biodata to recognize that it is true that he is an Indonesian citizen who lives in the area,” explained Betty.

Betty then said that voters who had not yet been registered on the list of potential voters provided by the KPU could be registered as new voters by Pantarlih. The condition is to show valid residence documents. Residents of DKI Jakarta who experience the suspension of their electronic KTP because they no longer live in Jakarta can request the reinstatement of their electronic KTP from the Population and Civil Registry Service (Disdukcapil).

“If the monitoring committee finds that there are people who are not registered within their scope, they can be registered as new voters, as long as they can be proven with documents,” concluded Betty.

For voters who have not processed their unregistered status in the Pilkada DPT but want to vote on voting day, the KPU still provides registration services on voting day. Voters can register themselves as special voters at polling stations (TPS) that match the domicile address listed on their electronic KTP. []
