Coklit Pilkada will Start from June 24 to July 24 2024

The General Election Commission (KPU) will carry out voter matching and research (Coklit) in the upcoming 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada). Coklit will be carried out simultaneously within one month, from June 24 to July 24, 2024.

“God willing, Coklit will be held from June 24 to July 24 simultaneously throughout Indonesia,” said the Head of the Data and Information Division of the Indonesian KPU, Betty Epsilon Idroos, after holding a Coklit simulation in the Kuningan Area, South Jakarta (6/6).

Betty explained that the 2024 Regional Election Coklit would be carried out by voter data updating officers (Pantarlih), directly from house to house. Simultaneously with updating data, the Regency/City KPU will be responsible for updating voter data.

He said that for the areas where coklit is carried out, the geography of each region will also be looked at. Because, according to him, the provisions for Coklit results in the 2024 regional elections are different from previous elections.

“For the mapping of polling places (TPS) during the 2024 election, one polling station has a maximum of 300 people per polling station.” However, for the 2024 Pilkada, there will be a maximum of 600 voters per TPS, taking into account geographical conditions and the ease of voters getting to the TPS,” explained Betty.
